After a year with his hometown Ragin’ Cajuns, Walker returned to Ole Miss and enters his redshirt senior season with experience across the SEC and Sun Belt. A former five-star recruit and one of the top quarterback prospects in the nation in the 2022 class, he was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat quarterback by ESPN. Howard has appeared in games at LSU and Ole Miss, gaining Power Five experience following a decorated high school career that included multiple state championships in Louisiana.


ABOUT WALKER
A transfer to Louisiana from Ole Miss, Walker returns to his hometown of Lafayette to compete for the Ragin’ Cajuns. Walker was a five-star high school recruit and one of the top quarterback prospects in the nation for the class of 2022, including being ranked as the nation’s #1 dual-threat QB by ESPN. Invited to the Elite 11 camp after winning the MaxPreps High School Football Player of the Year in Louisiana as well as the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, Walker led St. Thomas Moore to back-to-back state titles during his sophomore and junior years. He passed for over 5,800 yards and 67 touchdowns during his last two seasons in high school.
