A consensus four-star quarterback and one of the top in-state prospects in the 2025 class, George enrolled early at Tennessee and participated in spring practice before seeing action in two games as a true freshman. He completed 7-of-9 passes for 69 yards in limited action, including his collegiate debut in the home opener. Ranked among the top quarterbacks nationally by Rivals, ESPN, On3, and 247Sports, MacIntyre threw for more than 8,200 yards during his high school career at Brentwood Academy before committing to the Volunteers.

ABOUT GEORGE

A consensus five-star high school recruit, George became the highest-rated in-state quarterback to ever commit to the University of Tennessee. He was the #2 quarterback overall in the 2025 class and a Top 20 recruit nationally among all positions.

George finished his high school career as a 2x TN Mr. Football Finalist, Gatorade State Player of the Year Finalist, All-American, and 3x All-State honoree. Over his three years as a starter in Tennessee’s most competitive classification, he threw for nearly 8400 yards and 69 TDs and twice led BA to the state semifinals.

George is the grandson of legendary Vanderbilt coach and namesake George MacIntyre and the nephew of longtime college coach Mike MacIntyre.

In addition to starring on the football field, George received multiple D1 offers for basketball.
